Exmouth Archers Lunartic Shoot

Several years ago, when our outdoor venue used to be the Marine Camp at Lympstone, Exmouth we ran a Lunartic Shoot, which was shot under flood light.  Sighters were at 11pm, and shooting went on until the early hours of the morning.

In 2003 the Club decided to have another go at running the tournament, but on our own grounds.  It proved very popular, and so we decided to continue holding it.  Each Archer is expected to shoot in Fancy Dress, and each year had a different theme.  The longest round shot is a Short National (50 and 40 yards).  Backstop netting is provided to stop the bulk of missed arrows.

The entry fee includes barbecue food before sighters and hot soup at the break.

The club have decided not to run a Lunartic Shoot in 2007 or 2008, because we feel that continually running such an event makes it less of a novelty, and therefore not so well supported.  However the Lunartic Shoot will return in years to come.  We promise... and apologise to those Archers who would support or help with the event no matter what.  We do appreciate it.
